A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to non-existent email addresses under the same domain name. For example, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get email messages from buddies or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you have a hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you create under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel includes quite a few functions, but it is incredibly easy to work with, so creating a catch-all mailbox requires only one click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be shown in this section alphabetically and you’ll only have to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the respective email address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or pick a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as simple and requires one more mouse click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will permit you to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without difficulty even in case you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All you need to do to accomplish that is click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each email address that you have created using your domains in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you’ve already created another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you don’t need the feature anymore, you can disable it by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
